DENTAL IMPLANT APPOINTMENTS– WHAT TO EXPECT

1ST APPOINTMENT: Consultation at our office with Dr. Nehal

- This appointment is approximately 30 minutes long. On this day we will be assessing the implant site and taking any records and x-rays needed. We will also have the baseline information needed to give you an estimated cost for the treatment.

- Checking the site in the mouth and on the x-ray can give us a good idea but not the whole picture of what your bone looks like. Only a CT scan provides us with the full 3D representation of your bone.

2ND APPOINTEMNT: CT Scan

- This scan is NOT performed at our office. Dr. Nehal will refer you to Dr. DaSilva’s office in London where you will go to have this scan taken. Most often a CD of the scan will be given to you either that same day or mailed to you personally. This can take upwards of 1 week to receive.

- Approximate cost for the CT Scan(s) is $200-$290. This amount must be paid up front at the time of the appointment and can be submitted to your benefit company on your behalf for reimbursement.

- Implant placement must be booked within 3 months of the CT scan date.

3RD APPOINTMENT: Second consultation + TRIOS Scan/Impression for Surgical Template

- This appointment is approximately 30-45 minutes.

- You will need to bring the CD with you to this appointment (if you have not dropped it off or mailed it to our office prior to this appointment).

- During this appointment an intra oral scan/impression in the office will be taken. This scan is what will be sent away for the fabrication of your surgical template which will be used at your implant placement appointment.

- Dr. Nehal will review the CD of the CT scan and go over it with you at this time as needed.

- A deposit will be collected at this appointment for the surgical template. The cost for this is approximately $500.00.

- Your implant placement procedure will be scheduled 2-3 weeks from this appointment.

4TH APPOINTMENT: Implant Placement Surgery

- Deposit of $1500 collected at this appointment.

- This appointment is approximately 1 hour.

- You will sign a consent form upon arrival, prior to the start of your appointment agreeing that you are aware of all possible risks and side effects associated with dental implant surgery. If you have any questions, please ask Dr. Nehal.

5TH APPOINTMENT: Follow Up 1 week after surgery

- This appointment is very short and will only take 5 minutes.

- Dr. Nehal will assess the site and ensure everything is healing well

6th APPOINTMENT: Follow Up 1 month after surgery

- This appointment is very short and will only take 5 minutes.

- Dr. Nehal will assess the site and ensure everything is healing well.

IMPLANT CROWN: Now that you have your implant placed, we need to wait 2-3 months for healing before we can do the crown fabrication. Final payment will be due at crown insertion. The crown placement itself will consist of 2-3 appointments.

Please NOTE: Dr. Nehal is not responsible for any fees not covered by your dental benefit company. Our staff will do all necessary measures to send the estimates required to your benefit company and put through the billing after your appointment(s), however it is your responsibility to get any pre-determination responses to us. These responses will NOT be mailed to our office.

Please Note: We do not accept assignment of benefits for dental implant procedures. Payment will be required at each step/appointment over the course of your treatment.
