This can be a very complex field especially when dealing with facial pain and muscle problems. Incorrect diagnosis and treatment can lead to frustration for both the dentist and the patient.

Osteoarthritis: The laser cannot cure osteoarthritis but it can help alleviate the symptoms.

Hyperemia of the TMJ: It is treated twice weekly until the symptoms improve. The patient should be cautioned of a possible treatment response in the chronic situations.
